Landscape Design and Installation in Northwest Indiana

If the front of the house has two old yews and a lot of nothing, this is the fix. We lay out beds that fit the shape of the house, pick plants that will actually live in your soil and light, and install them. You get a front yard you are not apologizing for.

What is included

Every Landscape Design visit

  • On site design walk with bed layout and plant list
  • New bed excavation and shaping
  • Shrub, perennial and ornamental tree planting
  • Stepping stone and flagstone paths through beds
  • Edging and mulch or rock to finish the install
  • Soil prep in the planting holes

What we do not do

Said up front so nobody wastes a phone call.

  • Irrigation system installation
  • Poured concrete work

Designing for the lot you have

Shade, soil and drainage decide what lives. We look at all three before drawing a single bed line.

  • Sun and shade mapped by where the house and the big trees sit
  • Plant sizes chosen at maturity so nothing swallows a window in four years
  • Downspouts and low spots planned around instead of planted into

Installation done once

The same people who plan it are the ones digging it, so nothing gets lost between a drawing and the shovel.

  • Beds cut and graded before anything goes in the ground
  • Plants set at the right depth and watered in
  • Path stone set on a compacted base so it does not rock underfoot

FAQ

Landscape Design questions

Do you charge for the design?

The estimate visit and the on site layout are free. We price the install.

Can you work around plants I want to keep?

Yes. Healthy shrubs and trees get worked into the new layout, or transplanted if they are in the wrong spot.

What time of year is best to plant?

Spring and fall are easiest on new plants in Northwest Indiana. Summer installs work fine as long as you keep water on them.
